Welcome to Brook Farm!

I first bought the field in 1995,and developed it for agriculture, with purpose built agricultures barns, rearing young calves, rare breed pigs, pedigree sheep, then because of BSE and Foot and Mouth diseases (not that they reached Somerset) the interest in animals decreased, with the fact that my mobility with MS was declining, and the only animals were then rescued goats and sheep, I turned to horticulture with permaculture principles, using 2 polytunnels and raised beds, producing salads and veggies for farmers markets on a weekly and monthly market. I started off in a caravan then realised I could build a strawbale house with the same planning permission or so I thought!
